January 15, 2009 Welcome November 28, 2008 test July 01, 2008 ![]() Are Video e-Magazines Going to be the Next Big Thing?Let’s face it; many young people despise reading. I can’t speak for everyone, but many of the people I know can’t stand to read, especially if it is something they aren’t interested in. We also know that videos are taking over the internet at an enormous rate. Sites like You Tube and Hulu.com are redefining the way young people entertain themselves. It is no surprise that print newspapers and magazines are falling by the way-side almost as quickly as digital media and videos are rising. So do you think it would be safe to say that video e-magazines might be one of the next big crazes? Think about this for as second. Imagine being able to watch a magazine in short concise articles but doing so by watching video of the articles and interviews. I call that “watching” an article rather then reading an article. Computers and Smart Phones are becoming more and more a part of our everyday fabric. Video e-Magazines will allow users to watch articles and interviews while waiting at the doctor’s office, while waiting in the parking lot to pick your kids up from school, even while waiting in line at amusement parks or the grocery store. Video e-Magazines can also be used in the classroom. Imagine instead of opening up your books to page 54, it will be open up your laptops and watch the video e-magazine article on the success and failures of P Diddy and we’ll discuss them after the video is over. Keep an eye out for new video e-magazines and their rise in popularity and usage by people young and old. |
