Learning to Save Early

Why should you care or worry about your retirement 30 or 40 years before the fact?  Society doesn’t shove this country’s terrible saving statistics down our throats like they do reality TV shows.  It is important that a young generation get a healthy dose of what entertains us, but we should also get a bit of useful knowledge too.  So again the question becomes, “why should you care about your retirement 30 or 40 years before the fact?”  Think about it this way.  You will either work because you want to or you’ll work because you have to.  You will either relax because you saved or you will stress because you misbehaved.

And saving early on doesn’t mean that you need thousands or even hundreds of dollars.  Everyone knows that at this point in your life you don’t have a ton of extra money, and that’s okay.  All you need is a few bucks a month; $20 or $50.  All of your friends are starting to see the big picture; they are all beginning to save.  It’s time for our generation to be exposed to the truth that the earlier you learn to save a little, the better your odds of overall saving a lot.
